SDC Acquires Fulcrum Design

As of March 17th, 2023, Surgeon Design Center, LLC and Fulcrum Design LLC have closed a deal to acquire substantially all of Fulcrum Design’s assets, book of business and employment contracts. Fulcrum Design is a Portland based orthopedic device consulting firm that has been in business for 5 years. SDC sees this an important strategic acquisition for its growth in 2023.

SDC’s Founder and CEO, Casey Chambers, gave this statement regarding the acquisition “We are thrilled to bring on James and team though this deal to continue our rapid personnel and expertise growth in orthopedics. Fulcrum Design brings decades of engineering and ortho industry experience, along with a strong roster of clientele that are pursuing promising development projects.”

This acquisition comes as SDC has longer term vision of building out its presence in the Portland Metro area where top talent exists from the proving grounds of established orthopedic titans such as Acumed and innovative healthcare organizations like Legacy Health and OHSU.
