Sliding suture construct
A renowned surgeon inventor came to us with a novel concept for a new modular soft tissue reconstruction concept. We assisted with design, sourcing and product testing. The product is currently in licensing discussions and SDC is supporting the pitch and technical transfer.
Miniature screw holding
Small screws, particularly in CMF and neuro procedures, are a challenge to handle and pose risks to the patient and provider. Our client was a sales professional that had witnessed this problem too many times. We developed a broad application instrument for handling and delivering miniature bone screws. Currently in licensing discussions.
ultimate provisional fixation
As a technical leader in orthopedics, this client discovered a recurring complaint about provisional bone and plate fixation. Clamps, olive wires, plate tacks, etc. all presented unintended consequences and other shortcomings. We reimagined provisional fixation and helped invent the next generation of guide-wire based fixation.
